An EU project promotional animation created by one and a half Animation Studio, based in Cyprus, for Smart Agro Hub as part of the Horizon Europe project AMBROSIA. The film was developed as a research communication animation designed to introduce the project’s purpose, structure and international collaboration through clear visual storytelling. Produced as an EU project communication video, the animation translates complex scientific themes into an accessible format suitable for public communication, research dissemination and institutional outreach.
AMBROSIA is a Horizon Europe research initiative exploring how climate change influences food safety across the entire food supply chain. The project brings together eighteen partners from seven European countries, combining expertise in climate modelling, food safety, agricultural technologies and artificial intelligence. The initiative develops new methodologies and digital tools for predictive risk assessment, aiming to strengthen resilient and sustainable food systems across Europe. Demonstration activities are conducted across multiple European biogeographical regions, allowing research outcomes to be tested under different environmental and agricultural conditions.
EU project promotional animation for the Horizon Europe AMBROSIA initiative, presenting the project’s goals, partners and approach to food safety and climate change.
Created as an EU project promotional animation, the film introduces the AMBROSIA initiative and its objectives within the Horizon Europe research programme. The animation outlines how the project addresses the relationship between climate change and food safety while presenting the international consortium, research direction and expected impact on European food systems.
Clear visual storytelling helps communicate the project’s goals, partners and collaborative structure in a concise and accessible format. Designed as an EU project communication video, the animation supports outreach, research dissemination and public communication, guiding audiences towards the project platform and further information.
For research initiatives such as AMBROSIA, animation offers a practical way to present project intentions, partnerships and research context in a format that is easy to understand across diverse audiences including policymakers, researchers and industry stakeholders.
Animation and motion graphics are increasingly used by EU research projects, universities and public institutions to communicate complex ideas with clarity and precision. From research communication animation to science communication films, these formats support outreach activities, strengthen public understanding and help research initiatives reach broader audiences through clear visual storytelling.
This project forms part of the studio’s broader body of work in documentary, cultural and public communication contexts. Explore more projects on our Work page.
